













About Adangme Language
Adangme language is also known as Dangme or Adaŋgbi. It is a Kwa language spoken in south-eastern Ghana by the Dangbe people. Adangme language is spoken in Togo, Ghana, Benin by the people of Manya Krobo, Yilo Krobo, Ada, Osudoku, Shai, Kpone, Prampram and Ningo. The language is spoken in Ghana by over 800,000 people as of 2004. In total there are 12 vowels (7 oral vowels and 5 nasal vowels). Adangme language has three tones: high, mid and low. It is written in a Latin-based script.
